🚨 Round 14 ShortCuts

No panic, just progress

A pretty standard week in the SuperCoach universe means panic stations can be avoided and, with the plethora of players returning, we can look to improve our teams for the long term.

In saying that, this could be a week to hold fire to gain those valuable weeks of information. Next week, we will have three trades up our sleeve, and four with a boost.

We recommend not overthinking the byes and instead slowly working towards your final team as soon as possible. With that in mind, read on, in particular, the Commissioner’s thoughts, for some factors to keep abreast of moving forward.

🔎 Spotlight - Scott Drinkwater

181 BE is a killer, yes.

With new combos in the halves, most notably Purdue and his running game, Drinky doesn’t seem to be getting the ball in his mitts as much as previously.

But who are you trading him to?

The Cowboys’ draw, as mentioned previously, is elite. He plays every round until Round 27. Yes, every round until round 27.

Unnecessary trade. Hold.

🔄 Most Traded In

In the Top 5k

Buy - Koloamatangi / Hopoate / Campbell

Wait - Lawson / Campbell

Avoid - Mason

Team dependent here, and a lot of asterisks.

Koloamantangi could get a call-up, but is killing it. Hopoate has Turbo lingering, but his base is great. Campbell is inconsistent at FLB. Lawson is risky with Sloan around, but cash gen is great. Mason is a no-go with Fainu is on the bench.

🤵🏻‍♂️ Commissioner’s Corner

The Commissioner had another successful week, banging out a 1303 to jump 1006 spots into the top 5k.

Prayers were up for a big Purdue score, and he delivered. Having held the Purdue to Iro trade a week before, his patience has been rewarded. Purdue outscored Iro, and with an extra two weeks of information, Purdue is now a safe hold until his performances drop off a cliff. The Cowboys’ fixtures are also favourable.

This week, with 25 trades and 2 boosts, Big C’s eyes were initially on an upgrade for Robert Toia. Toia has peaked in price and has made great coin. He also misses rounds 14, 15, 17, and 18. Tempting and likely.

Other options are Horsburgh and/or Hosking. Both are doing just fine in base, but not too much more. The Hosking trade is a luxury and by no means necessary. With Hudson Young heading to Origin, minutes will increase for Hosking, and he plays every game till Round 19. Horsburgh isn’t an issue either, but may be called up for Origin. However, both miss next week, which is looking thin for the Commissioner. Both could disappear shortly.

Yet again, the head is gone, which usually means hold. Who knows. Lips are being licked for a 4-trade boost bonanza next week. We shall see.

At this stage, it’s shaping as Toia ➡️ KL Iro

VC: Papenhuyzen

C: Cleary

💬 Till next week…

May your gut calls hit and your rage trades be held.
