✅ Round 17 ShortCuts

Hookers in the A&E 👀

We feel like we are repeating ourselves.

Injuries aplenty yet again in Round 16 mean our hands may be forced this week.

Not necessarily a bad thing when trades are made easy for you.

Not to worry, control what you can control.

Read on to get some help with that

🧠 What You Need to Know

Feels like this is just an injury wrap every week.

Others have fancy graphics that we can’t be bothered making, so we will steal theirs. This one is ripped from SC ballrs on X.

In terms of who’s back from injury and who’s resting, we have again stolen content from SC ballrs on X. Cheers, lads.

🔎 Spotlight - Auto Emergency

We’ve heard this term bandied about for a while now and, to be honest, didn’t know how it worked until we found this info in the help section of SuperCoach.

We are bringing this up now because many of you will have the Smith brothers, Sandon and Ryley (they’re not brothers).

Neither of them are playing this week and many of you will therefore not have a hooker.

If this is you, and you don’t trade one out, you will get an auto emergency this week.

As per above, your lowest score not in your playing 17 will come in as an auto emergency and count towards your score.

This is the play the Commissioner is taking, as, due to injuries and byes, his non-playing squad is pretty good this week.

More of this below.

Where the top 1% are going…

🤵🏻‍♂️ Commissioner’s Corner

Last week, after publishing, the Commish binned Tino and brought in AFB, someone he likes for his end-of-season team.

Tino’s injury, lack of minutes, and Origin looming were enough.

He will be back in at some stage, however.

This is, yet again, the benefit of holding trades early in the season.

➡️ The Commissioner has already traded in Kiraz, with Sharpe making way.

The Kiraz trade-in was always the plan for this week, and Sharpe’s serious injury has allowed this with minimal resistance.

➡️ The other trade is Hubner to Karapani via duals.

Easy one here.

Huge cash incoming for Karapani and Hubner wasn’t offering too much.

Commish sees this as the last cash grab of the season, hopefully.

No Hookers this week is a slight headache.

At this stage, Commish is happy to take an auto emergency (see Spotlight for more on this) at this stage. This will be the lowest score (if he read the help section the the SuperCoach website correctly, he thinks):

  • Zac Hosking vs. Knights

  • Jaxon Purdue vs. Titans

  • Josiah Karapani vs Warriors

He sees the worst of those as still being handy enough, reducing the risk of a flyer on someone else.

Post-Origin, Harry Grant will be coming in, ideally for Ryley Smith.

As it stands…

VC: Garrick (on the wing) or Kiraz

C: Drinky or Koloamatangi

Drinky slightly riskier, Koloamatangi safe

🎬 Final Play

Until then – may your trade-ins get through unscathed, and your premiums keep on trucking.

Green arrows ahead
