✂️ Round 12 ShortCuts

Stay humble. Do less.

Last week, we were heroes. This week…humble pie.

FLB boomers flopped. Drinky downgraded. Everything hurts.

🤵🏻‍♂️ The Commissioner

“When I’m this unsure, I usually do… nothing.”

Round 11’s wash-up

Over the next couple of weeks, the Commissioner is looking at:

🔫 James Tedesco - bona fide gun - tough fixtures and a bye coming up. However, more or less fixture-proof.

🦈 KL Iro - Bye next week is annoying, but a number for round 15

🤔 Addin Founua-Blake - same as above

🔒 Joseph Tapine - safe and solid for the rest of the season. Expensive

📈 Keaon Koloamatangi - plays 12 of the next 13 after this week

He’ll wait till tomorrow night to pull the trigger on these, if he does at all.

Plenty of chat around about people trading Payne Haas, and he is the 4th most popular trade out. We don’t hate it. We also acknowledge that you will probably regret it in 3 weeks.

Why you shouldn’t: Only misses rounds 15 and 20. The Broncos need to win games.

Why you could: Injury niggle and he sat out of Origin training Wednesday. Will he back up? Frees up mega cash for someone who will play many more games than him.

If you don’t have other fires to put out (Egan, Kiraz) like the Commissioner, then it is an option. Probably to Addin Fonua-Blake or Joseph Tapine.

Keaon Koloamatangi is on the watchlist for next week, too. He may wait till then and jump on the Rabbits’ workhorse.

He says he will be holding Rob Toia. Negative breakeven and every chance to be back for the Roosters soon.

Jaxon Purdue is on the block. KL Iro would come in. However, Purdue’s run is good, and Iro is on the bye next week.

The Commissioner tends to err on the side of “not keen to take too many risks,” but the selling of Haas could be one.

14 players before trades (only 13 count), so nothing is essential here. He has no idea what to do, but has an eye on Haas to Keaon next week.

With no clear standouts, it may be a boring downgrade of someone like Hubner to Lipoi Hopoi to open up more cash going forward.

Loose PODs on the horizon: Euan Aitken, Jesse Ramien

Pre-trade team: 14 players. 13 scores count.

🔒 Not panicking. Not boosting.

“No clear must-trade-ins. Probably doing Purdue ➡ Iro… maybe.”
